LATEST HAPPENING EARTH STORIES 2008: STORYTELLING COMPETITION GRAND FINAL Fifteen finalists from 13 primary schools competed in the Grand Final of the Earth Stories Storytelling Competition that Acropolis English Centre has co-organised with the National Book Development Council of Singapore and the Arts House. The 15 talented finalists told their stories on the environment inside the historic Chamber Room of the Old Parliament House, now a premier arts and heritage venue called The Arts House. The event was held on 28th August as part of the Singapore International Story Telling Festival 2008. This annual competition attracted participation this year from more than 40 primary schools, which sent a total number of about 80 pupils to the qualifying rounds held at the Marine Parade Community Library on 30th-31st July. |
